How can we help your child prepare for school?
Our approved Do Kindy program provides children with a head start at learning vital social skills like playing with others in a calm way, sharing and beginning their development of empathy, and exposure to new ideas, concepts and structures.
This program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines and helps to develop key skills to make the transition less stressful including:

- Reading texts
- Aspects of writing
- Phonemic awareness
- Concepts about print
Our environment gives children the opportunity to get a different understanding of these skills and group activities that they may not receive at home with children their own age and led by our degree-qualified Early Childhood Teachers.

How can you help your child prepare for school?
There are a number of simple things you can do to help ease the transition to school for your child:
- Talk positively and confidently about starting and attending school
- Speak with your child about the change in their daily routine, how will they get to school, what time they have to get up in the morning and what they will have in their lunch box
- Read books together about starting school
- Be involved in your child’s school community e.g. participating in playgroups, orientation days or other social gatherings like school fetes and welcome barbecues
