Early childhood is a time when children develop positive relationships with other children and educators. This helps children to feel they belong and lays the foundation for their future health and wellbeing.
At Day One ELC, we have a genuine interest to provide an environment that helps children be successful in our increasingly diverse and multicultural world by valuing and respecting all families and promoting inclusive practices. We support children to develop the skills necessary to form positive friendships regardless of differences in practices, languages and ethnic backgrounds.
We extend an open invitation to our families or friends throughout the community to come to our Service and share their cultural knowledge, languages, celebrations, special days or traditions that are important to them with children and staff.
This provides children and educators with opportunities to strengthen their connection to the world around them and their sense of belonging – not only to the Service, but also to their broader community.
If you or someone you know has something they would like to share, please see the Campus Director to arrange a time as well as any additional resources you may need.
We look forward to sharing cultural experiences with our families!
